Google doesn’t lie.

The official site for the new Coen brothers movie Burn After Reading is part of the Focus Features website. But if you search for burn after reading you are offered the official site at this URL: http://www.burnafterreading.com–live.com/#/home. That is the official site, launched as a pop-up (ugh) from the Focus Features site as the usual Flash website. The especially strange part is the company owns the obvious URL burnafterreading.com, and then redirects it inside the Focus Features site… which then launches the URL with dashes. Focus Features is fortunate that Google can find the real site.

Oh… about the movie. Frances McDormand has the most fun of the many famous cast members. A week or so after the fact, her role lingers. Absurd humor throughout, without the sparkling edge of Fargo. 63 from Metacritic makes sense.
